BLUEY AND GLORIA CHANDLER arrived at the Fitzroy mission in 1973 to work in kitchen for a year. While we were there they set up the bakery, started a butcher shop and began a Boys Brigade. For a period of time Bluey and Gloria looked after the boys hostel. Their younger 3 children Julie, Naomi and Daryl went to school in Fitzroy and have good memories of that time. They left in 1976 and the hostel was taken over by the Bunaba people.
